We are continuously seeking dedicated volunteers as the program expands across ACT public schools.
Our teachers are dedicated, motivated and focused volunteers, many have full-time jobs. Everyone takes time off their busy schedules to carry out a very rewarding and noble duty for our children - to inspire and educate.
As a volunteer teacher, you must meet the following requirements:
Speak and read English fluently.
Have a sound practicing knowledge of Islam.
Agree to abide by ACTIES and the Education Directorates policies and procedures and guidelines.
Have your own means of reliable transport to and from the school.
Have a current contact phone number.
Complete all the mandatory induction and ongoing training.
Hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP) in the ACT.

ACTIES relies on general volunteers both on an ongoing basis or on a as needed basis.
The ACTIES Team members are members from the wider Canberra community, and all are keen to bring relevant skills and expertise to assist this program.
